Atap.co has set its eyes on creating a platform and a community for interior designers to thrive and grow together. In line with that, the Atap Elite Club (AEC), an inclusive and collaborative design community at its core, has been launched.

On the 18th of August, Atap.co soft-launched the Atap Elite Club to its pioneering members, a group of over 50 new and seasoned interior designers who all gathered at Signature Flagship Store, Kota Damansara, to witness the start of a budding creative community. Hosted by Atap.co, the event was sponsored by TOTO, Treo Merino, Tachitica, and VS Staircase Specialist. By building this community, we hope to create trusting and meaningful relationships within the interior design industry. The in-person social interactions and connections, made impossible by the pandemic, will now blossom within the community we wish to continue build and strengthen.

The Atap Elite Club isn’t niche or exclusive; it aims to build an accepting, encouraging, and all-around supportive design community. Atap.co’s co-founder, Seow Yao Han, said it best: “We feel the ID (interior design) community’s pressing need for more human interaction and connection. We want to create room for serendipity, for goodwill, conversations, laughter, and ideas to flow.” This is the notion behind the formation of AEC, which ultimately serves as a foundation for collaboration, ideas, and shared visions.

Becoming a member of AEC is a relatively simple process; the only requirement is that interior designers have a subscription to any of Atap.co’s current branding programs. This entitles interior designers to be automatically enrolled into the Atap Elite Club. To further expand the community, every year, each member of AEC is given the opportunity to nominate two individuals from the interior design industry to become members at zero cost! By doing so, we hope to unite like-minded people who believe in our cause—the commitment to advancing and elevating the design industry together as a community.

With membership to AEC, interior designers will receive access to exclusive events hosted by Atap.co and other brand partners, such as product launches, private openings, lifestyle functions, and invites to regional and overseas corporate events. Aside from that, members will enjoy priority access to home and living brand collaborations, community-building activities, and creative projects. The AEC will serve as a club in which interior designers will have access to greater business opportunities amidst their expanding personal network.

The Atap Elite Club intends to contribute towards building a collective culture that will further catapult new and seasoned interior designers to greater heights. It is Atap.co’s core mission to leave a positive lasting impact on the interior design scene while we continue to help interior designers thrive and showcase their talent locally, regionally, and internationally.
