Interior Design Project Info

The bespoke semi-detached unit in MKH Kajang, is unlike any other. This 1600 sqft house houses owners who favor into Japandi Zen style and serenity style. Embracing the ‘Less is More’ philosophy of Zen style, the space takes on a minimalistic Zen-like sensibility with an ethereal feeling enveloping the overall space. Wood, stone texture laminates and glass are juxtaposed harmoniously to mimic the undulating topography. Thus, creating a simple yet iconic opening brings a seamless transition between the dining and kitchen.

Styled in a light wood tone and a touch of grey tone to create a tranquil and serene vibe to the interior through minimal interior design elements. Cabinets are packed with calm minimalist look while still maintains the sense of aesthetics and to create a relaxed atmosphere. Feature wall are created with minimalist beading to portray an undulating pattern to create a sense of depth and sophisticated motive. Door panels in the kitchen are to kept simple but the outer carcass are furnished with custom-made Japandi beading.

To incorporate nature elements and inviting nature elements to the interior, stone a-like wallpapers are brought into the interior which brings occupants into the permeable lifestyle with seamless accessibility with nature. As such, the space has a good mix of hard and soft surfaces. The contrast between wooden panels and build-ins with the loose soft furniture's creates a balance between visually appealing aesthetic and a simple but comfortable ambience, allowing its inhabitants to enjoy the lavishness and serenity that the space provided.
