Interior Design Project Info
The upcoming satellite city of Bandar Gamuda Cove is strategically located within a lush natural environment. It is a beautiful location that allows for accessibility and convenience while embracing a serene environment thus embracing its design and theme as a nature sanctuary city and smart city. The team at Estylo was tasked with designing a home suitable for a young family, where beaches are their passion and their collection of souvenirs around the world allows them to reminisce their sweetest memories.
This 1400 square feet unit boasts a chic coastal interior design that uses natural light, soft tones, and a clean aesthetic, meant to evoke the breeziness of a beach. As you make your way through the living room, you will see that the design takes its cues from the natural environment for everything from the color palette through to the materials used. The open concept of the unit with strategically placed glass sliding doors and large windows also provides an abundance of light that showcases an open, and airy feeling.
The design creates a relaxed, easy vibe by incorporating many natural elements. This can be seen by the furniture such as the chair made from rattan, a seashell inspired wicker lighting, the dining table made of light, weathered woods, a fabric couch, and sheer curtain panels. It almost gives a minimalist Scandinavian design feel when you see everything in the room in the sense that less is more, simple in concept, and it focuses on a neutral ambience. To further add to the coastal setting, there are patterns of corals on the dining walls, shell inspired kitchen walls and a collection of plates that ensure a few seaside touches.
To ensure privacy of the unit, the residents’ bedrooms are located on the top half of the unit. The master room resonates with the similar coastal concept used in the open space below. Natural light, soft tones and hues of blues decorating the bed, fabric couch and a showcase painting attunes to the breeziness of a beach within the space. The use of loose furniture throughout the unit also adds versatility to them, thus embodying the free-spirited nature of the homeowners. Moving towards the rooms of the children, the team decides to add more of a character to them, on top of the coastal concept utilized in most of the unit. The natural light and soft tones are present in the rooms to adhere to general look and feel, but the unique design of each room brings out the fun and personality of the kids.
