Torii Express: A Hip and Minimalist Japanese Restaurant
Torii Express is a new Japanese restaurant that offers grab and go for Japanese food such as sushi and bento sets in a sleek and modern setting. The restaurant design is inspired by the concept of minimalism and trendy style, which emphasizes simplicity, functionality with Japanese elements.
The restaurant shopfront is designed with a minimalism concept with having texture paint and light box and to maintain the Torii corporate identity; the red panel was added to the shopfront.
Coming in to the shop it has a linear layout, with a long counter that runs along the wall and food display counter, where customers can order and pick up their bento or sushi sets. The counter is clad with white mosaic tile to create the fresh and clean look with hanging light boxes to enhance the whole design. The cashier counter also has a Red Acrylic as a feature with lights to illuminate and highlight the cashier counter.
The transition from the front to the Dining area, it has a long walkway which we wanted to make it more interesting and to break the monotonous, we are influenced by the street of japan with colourful hanging signage light boxes. Therefore, we created an alley with multi colourful signage light box and wall with light box to draw attention from customers.
The restaurant has ample of seating area at the back with white tables, mixed of red and white chairs and bench along the wall. The column at the dining area has texture paint and signage was added on it and walls are decorated with food / menu visuals to allow brand awareness to the customers.
Torii Express is a restaurant that combines modern design, creating a unique and memorable dining experience for its customers. The restaurant design showcases the beauty and simplicity of minimalism.
