Interior Design Project Info
The Allure is a tuckaway city home but situated right in the heart of city. This home is designed to exude a level of calm, peace, and sophistication.
The home design was aimed to craft out a contemporary space with luxurious comfort – we furnish, decorate, enhance the ground-up residential build to a curated environment space where our clients can seamlessly integrate their daily social life from hosting friends and family to a quiet unwind space for relaxing without hesitation.
The homeowner has a desire for the layout to foster around entertainment. The sprawling open-plan space from living to the lounge and the terrace with glass doors seamlessly connect to the small garden and a generous seating area is the perfect place for entertainment and where our homeowner can escape the complexities of the outside world. Along with boasting functionality in spades and cultivating a fluid indoor-outdoor dynamic. Prior to the design process, the lounge area had a normal window as partition with no functionality to the space. We transformed the normal window on the wall to a modern and stylish bar/café style table with half-moon folding up window – also connects to a study room with a window bench and a display cabinet for homeowner’s collectables.
The home’s open-plan layout was to encourage a fluidity and collaboration between the dining and kitchen. Our task was to design the space in such a way that the dining and kitchen, including the living room to have natural light where all areas are linked. Closer to the entrance, we arranged a breakfast counter table as a partition, separate from the kitchen and living room to remain the interaction between both while keeping its own functionality.
Oak timber was our key material selection for floors ceiling beams and carpentry, employed deftly throughout the space in quantities substantially enough to have the impact yet modest enough not to overwhelm the other restrained scheme. The light timber on the floor, ceiling and cabinetry serves as the perfect counterbalance, while generous amounts of glass usher in natural light in spades, affording the entire area a brightness that enhances the home’s breezy aesthetic.
The bedroom enters a world of mindful living where the calming energy exudes, painted in all white and created the bed headboard as the partition to a private area for the homeowner to wind-down and read a book. Moving onto the walk-in wardrobe – combines a minimalist design but a roomy space where the homeowner can live in her best element. Lastly, the 3 bathrooms embody its own characteristics – feminine master bathroom, serene guest bathroom and modern walk-wardrobe bathroom.
