Interior Design Project Info
Situated in the serene neighborhood of Seremban S2, the interior design of this project is meticulously curated to evoke a sense of calmness and tranquility, aligning perfectly with the homeowner's lifestyle. The design philosophy embraces a Minimalist-Japandi approach, emphasizing simplicity and functionality.
Originally, there were two separate, smaller spaces—a kitchen and a storage room. Without the option for expansion, the designer reconfigured the layout to enhance spatial efficiency by integrating the two areas, creating a more expansive and open kitchen ideal for baking and cooking with a mother and child. This approach not only meets the homeowner’s requirements for increased space but also adheres to the budget, resulting in a harmonious and functional interior. Additionally, the ground floor features a Japandi-inspired color palette of whites, greens and wood color, creating a refreshing and tranquil ambiance that aligns with the style’s emphasis on simplicity and natural elements.
The Japandi interior of the Master Bedroom uses natural materials like wood, rattan and microfiber to add warmth and texture, fostering a connection to nature and enhancing overall well-being. This design creates a serene atmosphere, promoting relaxation and mindfulness through a minimalist approach.
In the working area, the Japandi-style bookshelf featuring refined details and clean lines, is designed to meet the needs of a couple working from home, offering both functional storage and an aesthetically pleasing element that complements the serene and minimalist atmosphere of the space.
The Family Hall employs curved feature wall to define two distinct areas, complemented by a palette of muted colors and an abundance of natural light. This design creates a gentle ambiance, with the natural light enhancing the warmth and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal space for child- friendly activities.
