Interior Design & Architectural Project Info

This project called for an A&A on their extg KFC flagship outlet in Stulang Laut, Johor. The scope of work involves facade, alfresco, interior and landscape design.The concept of the facade aims to express the bold and contemporary red lattern perforated sculpture at the seaside. A new alfresco canopy was designed to provide a covered dining area at the extg alfresco jetty area.

Landscape aims to soften and compliment the bold and strong facade. Materials were carefully considered for seaside conditions. Facade and landscape lighting were designed to provide the a comfortable night ambience at the outlet.

Within the bold and strong exterior, it houses a warm, fun and inviting interior for a family-friendly restaurant. The red colour of the KFC branding is used “sparingly” as an accent colour, appearing in features such as furnitures and graphics.

With these bold & confident new KFC formats, some emphasis were given to provide focus points such as seating zones, engaging graphic messaging and signage design complimenting an enhanced customer flow and experience.
