Interior Design Project Info

Project Summary
This home symbolises a family’s dream space coming to life. With a few simple but space-transforming tweaks, the interiors of this unit have been strategically given a monochromatic composition, plenty of open spaces, and its rooms are bathed in much natural light.

A spacious living and dining room merge seamlessly into one another in this carefully curated interior adorned with modern furnishings. At the centre of the room, a black marble dining table takes prominence, surrounded by sleek chairs. The bedrooms have been designed to be bathed in natural light and furnished with modern lines and comfortable pillows in colour palettes that perfectly complement each other.

Project Description
Smart configurations.
This holiday unit at Queens Residences has its interiors transformed better to accommodate the needs of a mature family of five. From incorporating seamless storage solutions and changing up the layouts, to rearranging furnishings to create a larger space, here are some of the functional yet aesthetic reconfigurations for the home:

1. Entrance and foyer: The initial, triple-key entrance concept has been reimagined to only one main door, creating a longer and more spacious foyer leading to the main section of the home.
2. An inconspicuous, hidden door leading to the bedroom near the entrance creates a seamless look immediately, cleverly concealing the room’s entrance for a cleaner finish.
3. Dry kitchen: Opening the walkway to the dining and living areas affords more space to the dry kitchen, creating more space for preparation and hosting guests.

A comfy couch and reading chair are positioned near the balcony, where there is plenty if natural light. The seating is both inviting and relaxing, with plush cushions and soft upholstery making it an ideal spot for lounging.

Spacious spaces.
A clean and neat foyer leading to a large dining and living area is made extra cosy with smartly placed downlights and a sophisticated mix of luxurious colours and textures. Bright and airy, the living room has seamless, hidden wall storage systems for keeping everything neatly stowed away, yet always within arm’s reach. Grey stone marbling adds elegance and is used throughout the home for design uniformity, while the wide walkway towards the bedrooms is helmed by a pair of white colonnades, giving the walkway opening an air of grandeur.

Perfect for entertaining.
The dining and dry kitchen areas are bordered by a stunning display cabinet that is connected to an appliance cabinet that houses appliances like an oven and the fridge. The space is perfect for communal living and encourages interaction, with a sleek, sliding door entrance into the wet kitchen and yard area. The mix of light, chestnut-coloured wood panels with black fittings and the marble counter and tabletops lends the interiors a classy finish, when paired with the orange glow from the back-lit display cabinets.

Clean and chic.
Squarish edges and wood panelling in a lovely palette from light to dark perfectly complement the accents of this charming suite. With spaces especially carpentered for appliances in the yard, these configurations ensure reflect the care and thought that had been put into designing this holiday home. Hotel-like master bedroom. In a space designed for ultimate privacy and the best respite, the master bedroom has a modern ambience that exudes harm, cosiness, and serenity. Black Japanese blinds cleverly obscure the bathroom that is fitted with a glass window, with plenty of floor-to-ceiling height wardrobe space accorded to the side. Spherical side tables and bedside light fittings–also in black, lend the room an organic allure against the warm brown leather. A beautiful, natural view beckons, giving the room ample natural light that makes the make-up and reading area extra well-lit. The hanging mirror feature adds a creative touch, while a set of black blinds adorn the glass window at the side.

Room 1 – Elder sister’s suite.
Sleek and cool, this monochrome-coloured room has shades of greys and soft, ambient lighting to make the smaller suite feel cosy and inviting. Simple and easy to upkeep, it is elevated by its tailored furnishings done in matte black, grey marble and dark glass.

Room 2 – The guest room.
Chic and homey, the simple guest room has a double bed and a cute dresser with a mirror. The minimalist space is easy to upkeep and has plenty of floor-to-ceiling storage space to keep extra bedding, towels and more.

Room 3 – Younger sister’s suite.
In this serene and inviting room, a comfortable double bed is lined with a white comforter, plush pillows, and a soft blanket. Next to it, a black closet and a white dresser provide ample storage for clothes and personal belongings.
Clean lines and sleek surfaces create a minimalist aesthetic, offering both functionality and style. The overall atmosphere of the room is, with a combination of modern and traditional elements adding to its charm.
