Project Scope
Interior design and renovation to modernise the entire condo and expand the kitchen area.
Design Concept: Modern Minimalist & Contemporary Retro
We gave this home a transformative makeover, unifying its past and present with a modern minimalist approach. Subtle touches of contemporary retro complemented the look with carefully curated vintage elements and old-world home furnishings throughout.
The muted palette of whites and greys in the living room and bedrooms creates a clean contemporary base, allowing pops of colour from the entrance area floor tiles and kitchen to stand out, especially the latter’s quaint olive and soft green shades.
Unique Features
Entrance Area
In a nod to the iconic Art Deco style, the entrance area’s eye-catching geometric mosaic floor tiles add an element of animation with vivid inlaid patterns creating a seamless blend of the old and new.
Kitchen
To create a more spacious and open kitchen and pantry area, we removed the maid’s room and toilet that was part of the original layout. In continuation of the Art Deco homage, the contemporary retro design represents the calm and quaint era of the yesteryears in vintage elegance befitting the owners’ personalities and perspectives.
Every design detail has been carefully thought out, from the playfully charming palette of soft greens and olive tones to the cool retro kitchen appliances, the quirky ceiling-mounted fan to the swimming pool mosaic wall tiles. Custom cabinets and furniture were created to complete the modern vintage look.
