Being a working mum in Singapore, her kids stayed with her in the neighbouring country in hope of a better education and future for their lives. However, this has cause the kids to be separated from their very dear grandma residing in Malaysia.
As the family embraces a deep connection with nature, especially given their children's adventurous spirits, the client has made the decision to construct an outdoor treehouse at their Malaysia residence. This treehouse will serve as an idyllic weekend retreat and a cherished gathering spot for the entire family, where they can come together to bask in the beauty of the great outdoors.
In order to incorporate the kids’ favourite slides and swing, the treehouse is set high above ground to provide volume space below. Strong metal structure with timber cladding on the exterior provides durability, protection, and a natural aesthetic. Climbing stairs on the side allow the family to ascend and have a change of view. This treehouse not only offers a change of pace but also serves as a delightful haven for cherished family moments and pure bliss.
Fishing nets are incorporated at the railings of the stairs and sides of the slides to enhance safety at the same time infusing a sense of adventure and rustic charm. This creative design decision brings the spirit of the natural outdoors into the treehouse, offering a unique and visually captivating element while ensuring a secure ascent. It's a delightful way to blend safety with a touch of natural aesthetics.
On the other hand, the extended outdoor area with frosted glass canopy provides an extra space for outdoor dining. Cement walls with zigzag section design not only provides support to the canopy as a modern architectural feature but adds a dynamic and visual appeal to the outdoor space.
