Interior Design Project Info

Takeda, one of the top global pharmaceutical companies that was founded more than 240 years ago, now has offices in the main continents, Asia, Europe and the North and South Americas. When relocating their Jakarta headquarter, AI Associates wanted this new office to instil the Takeda-ism values - Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, and Perseverance, and capture its innovative and transformative spirits. We wanted to create a balanced workplace that represents these essences and opted a “Japandi” design style for this 10,700 sqft office.

Adapting the Japanese philosophy of simplicity and well-being, as well as the Scandinavian ways of embracing cosiness and comfort, these elements are represented through natural colours, timber laminate and raw concrete-like texture. A balance of natural materials and organic geometrics also creates a poised and welcoming space with complimentary form and function

Guests are greeted with a spacious reception and instantly welcomed by the cosy collaboration lounge and the adjoining open pantry. Biophilic elements such as moss walls were incorporated as the symbolism of perseverance and longevity, instantaneously elevating the liveliness of the workspace.

We designed the space to promote engagement and interactions, the office has ample social space and collaboration areas. To further promote team spirit among the staff, we created a game area with a Foosball & table Tennis for some recreational bonding moments. The collapsible acoustic walls open up the meeting rooms allowing to house large groups of people and cater for company’s events and activities. The office area is divided “Focus” zone and “Flexi” zone to support individual works and collaboration works.
