Interior Design Project Info

Infused with a modern Hong Kong lifestyle theme reminiscent of the city’s bing sutts (冰室) – traditional cafés that were very popular during the 1950s – the tiled surfaces and bright lights in this restaurant give it a clean look with linear lines, drawing the attention of holiday goers at Sky Avenue Shopping Mall.

Colour was cleverly used to delineate the playful interior. Elements such as classic window frames, translucent wire glass, calligraphic menus and mosaic floor tiles inspired by Hong Kong's bing sutts, were brought back from the past and modernised for present day.

Designed for the grab-and-go restaurant business modal, the interior is a familiar blast from the past, yet instantly elevates the restaurant, giving one the impression – express food has never looked this good.
