Interior Design Project Info

Our client for this project has a creative position in the film making industry. He has collected numerous books, printings and trinkets throughout his career as a filmmaker. He also had an eye for unconventional designs in an artistic way. After some thoughts exchanges, we’ve collectively designed his home to be a bohemian place to fulfil his artistic visions yet modern enough for daily upkeeps.

One goal that we really wanted to achieve is — not one single piece of plain white wall. Overall, we had 3 colors for wall paint. Among those 3, 2 different greens are selected, one greyish green in the living space and one beautiful dark jade green in each room, and lastly 1 beige color to balance off all the heavy colors in the space.

For most of the loose furniture pieces, we went for dark timber to match with the bohemian vibe, this includes the ceiling of the hallway where we made a ceiling feature with what supposed to be ‘furniture scrap’. Few gold accent are also added here and there to modernise and light up the dark tones. To spice up the wall without too much repetition of dark timber, we’ve also included wainscoting and marble texture in some of the rooms to add on a little bit of poshness.

Not sure if you can tell which is the guest room? It has a different vibe from the other rooms. We thought that not everyone are into bohemian vibe, so we made it different.
