The new office for Duta Jasa Sdn. Bhd. is designed with the client’s motive for an unconventional office.
Duta Jasa Sdn. Bhd. specializes in Engineering Services for Telecommunication Network Infrastructures. The company’s main body of work is generally executed outdoors therefore, the design intention for the new office is to incorporate the outside environment within the office. Allowing a fluid transition between inside and out creating a sense of calm and balance.
In today’s technology-centric world, visual connections to the outside environment are also essential. To take full advantage of the natural lighting and views to the outside from the high windows, the concept of a glass box is implemented. This maintains the connection to the outside throughout the office.
The level of transparency from the glass box ensures a well-lit interior and creates an inviting atmosphere for both visitors and the workforce. The office furnitures are customised to efficiently utilise the available space whilst maintaining a good interconnection between the workforce.
Apart from aesthetic purposes, raw textures and outdoor elements are used within the office to blur the boundaries between inside and outside generating a cohesive space that is both transitional and functional. ¬¬
