Zolano Ignites Kota Kinabalu with Grand Opening of Concept Store

The design scene in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, buzzed with excitement on 7th June 2024 as Zolano unveiled its highly anticipated Concept Store. Co-organized by Atap.co, the grand opening marked Zolano’s exciting debut in East Malaysia, attracting a crowd of design enthusiasts and industry professionals.

The ceremony commenced with an energetic welcome, setting the tone for a day of design discovery. Representatives from Zolano HQ delivered inspiring welcome speeches. Mr. Thomas Yap, Zolano’s Chief Operating Officer, shared Zolano’s vision for the future, while Mr Richard Tang, the Managing Director of Zolano Sabah, expressed his excitement over the new outlet opening and the endless collaboration opportunities.

In a flurry of confetti and celebratory clicks, Zolano’s grand opening reached a high point with the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Leading the honours were Zolano’s strategic leader, Chief Operating Officer Mr Thomas Yap, Managing Director Mr Ben Chew, Marketing Director Mr Alwin Chan, Mr Richard Tang, the Managing Director of Zolano, Sabah, alongside his partner Ms Ivy Tan, and distinguished special guest Mr Tian Long. This symbolic act marked the inauguration of the new concept store, ushering in a new era for Zolano in East Malaysia.

A captivating lion dance performance erupted next, adding a vibrant touch to the celebration and ushering in good fortune for Zolano’s new chapter. The energetic display pulsated with cultural flair, setting the stage for a prosperous future.

Guests were then treated to a delightful lunch, providing a relaxed environment for conversation and networking. After lunch, Mr. Alwin Chan, Zolano’s Marketing Director, took the stage to share the brand’s inspiring story and introduce their innovative ID program. This insightful presentation offered a glimpse into Zolano’s rich heritage and their unwavering commitment to empowering local designers.

Anticipation buzzed as guests embarked on a guided tour of the brand new showroom. Divided into smaller groups for a personalized experience, Zolano representatives led the way. The diverse product range was showcased, igniting a spark of inspiration for future design projects amongst the attendees.
