Formed at the crossroads of ‘POP’ (popular) and ‘Lux’ (luxury) styles, the ‘Populuxe’ themed home by Millimetre Design, features the 1920s Art Deco style, with unique geometry and arch shapes designs around its interiors.

Nestled between lush greenery and complemented by mesmerising waterscapes, Setia Warisan Tropika is a picture-perfect painting of an ideal neighbourhood. To further uplift the area, the developers tapped on Millimetre Design to specially curate a home interior concept unlike any other.

This new interior concept is the brainchild of Millimetre Design’s creative and innovative team. During a brainstorming session for the Setia Warisan Tropica project, ‘Populuxe’ was born or commonly known now as “Belladonna”. Formed at the crossroads of ‘POP’ (popular) and ‘Lux’ (luxury) style, the ‘Populuxe’ theme was incorporated into the show unit to fit the dreams of multiple generations.

The interior designers drew inspiration for the home from the 1920s Art Deco style, illustrating unique geometry and arch shapes around the interiors. Developing a visual equilibrium by optimising a niche colour spectrum, Millimetre Design brought this whole project to life with just three main colours, grey, pink and green.

Further, the designers balanced the vintage looks with modern and geometrical details by taking it up a notch. Their style is distinguished by basic, clean outlines, with a “streamlined” look, prominently displayed to give visitors a memorable impression.

To accomplish a cohesive environment, vivid, bold shades of green and pink were strategically displayed around the home’s interiors, exhibiting elements of ‘Leisure’ and ‘Tropical Greens’. The main hall had an exotic neon lime green crown moulding that brought out the space’s personality. Green plants and moss-green furniture embellish the overall interiors with a serene tropical feel.

The shades painted and illustrated in their property rooms are kept minimal with soft nudges of light colours. Each room resonates with its occupants’ lifestyle as the colour tones and styles vary. The main master bedroom holds earthy solid tones of brown, white and grey hues. Where else, the guest room is presented in royal blue, grey and white. The kid’s room comes in soft baby pink, creating a warm cosy, comfortable ambience.

Belladonna’s prime artwork is a bedroom that was converted to an office to accommodate the new normal lifestyle of the pandemic. It was created to offer a versatile space that could be used as a guest room or kid’s play area when needed. The office design applications include writing boards and soft cork boards, which also function as decoration elements for walls.

Furniture and cabinetry around the property are explicitly customised to match the colour of its exteriors. Interiors experts did not hold back when merging bold geometrical shapes with deep intense colours. Even more intriguing is that these elements, although common, function way more than just a decorative factor in the room. Purely keeping it functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Belladonna is a stunning depiction of the best of both worlds merging. The property has a variety of personalities, yet it gives off a welcoming, homey vibe the moment you walk in. It’s effortlessly beautiful, fearless, and elegant, making it ideal for a young millennial couple to embrace.
