Creating a warm atmosphere while incorporating an open spatial layout was the task of this project. Thus, the central theme revolves around the use of warm wood elements, complemented by an interplay of white, which serves as the main visual focal point. Deep, dark colour accents and refinements in furniture textures are employed to enhance spatial depth.
The owner hopes for a smoother overall use of the space. Following several discussions, we decided to remove the pre-existing kitchen hardware thereby eliminating any constraints on the layout's design potential. The open layout allows the uninterrupted flow of both life and space, with ample natural light as the main light streaming in the interior through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing every nook and cranny in radiant sunlight.
To match the location of the pre-existing air conditioner, the ceiling extending from the corridor to the display storage cabinets is designed with symmetrical arcs as its guiding motif, imparting a rounded texture, creating a cozy indoor space.
Upon entering the interior, the observer is greeted by a storage cabinet made from a combination of white and wood. Integrating the storage cabinet with the invisible door and the television wall into a single entity eliminates the distinctive appearance of the original door. The enclosed storage units and glass display cabinets portray the duality of open and closed storage solutions, not only bestows a sense of aesthetic harmony upon the overall visual of the space but also addresses the substantial storage needs of the owner.
Spatial arrangement exists for life, focusing keenly on the seamless flow of space. The open kitchen connects with the dining area while being partitioned from the living room by an intervening corridor. This layout fosters increased interaction between the owner and their children in the shared living area while also liberating the entire space for unrestricted access and use, transcending the limitations of designated resting spots. Ultimately, this space displays the emergence of a harmonious and interactive familial relationship, providing a lifestyle that aligns perfectly with the holistic well-being of the whole family.

These life narratives serve as a catalyst, repeatedly making us re-evaluate the realm of design and break through the conventional notions surrounding the concept of "home".
