#TheTeamOFDS has given a 26 year-old home a new life by reimagining the loft apartment for a modern family. Openness and natural light were a priority in the design process, driving many of the decisions. Through meticulous space planning, the existing common area has gone through demolishing works and new walls were built in order to create better zoning of each space as well as interior ventilation and to have more natural lights shining into the home.

Swathed in red, dark grey walls and exposed brick in the common area adds understated grit to wooden platforms and sleek light grey marble floors. Soft furnishings like loose furniture, decorative items and window treatments are in neutral palettes to add a sense of softness to the space. An open concept kitchen and a wooden platform hangout spot has morphed the loft into a refined and fluid home befitting its inhabitants.

In order to be environmentally conscious, the dining chairs and lounge chairs are homeowners well - cherished pieces and were refurbished and reupholstered to upcycle them into aesthetically fitting interior to match the ideal blend of old and new.

Style, comfort and functionality are simply the main focus while designing this space. We have incorporated simple and sleek design with loft-style elements, creating a masculine yet casual and chilling vibe for the homeowner as well as his guests. The loft feels incredibly spacious, and light washes in from all exposures.
