“Urban Cave”, Let's unveil the cave in the urban together with the meandering tangent that touches the eyes in the distance leading you into this superimposed ingenuity and unique style.
Nestled along one of the busy districts in Kuala Lumpur, a project brief emerged and an understanding of the design element of lifestyle Integration. As commissioned by the client, this project envisions creating a house with a satisfactory homely environment with a good concept story while fulfilling the spaces division and intersection for activities. Thus, the design incorporates a combination of the fuzzy storyline with the reality build-out design. It was like unveiling the hint of light and shadow from a dark cave and getting an appreciation of surprise while unboxing the property once and once again.
An essential part of the design behind the story is surrounding the common area toward the hallway and it was the main design storyline that was made. The curvy and wavy ceiling is designed as a shady part of the cave and the warmth and exquisite veneer represent the woods against the rocks with earthy tone walls cave. Furthermore, a linear fashion light beam lead on the ceiling towards the hallway, it light up the front way while the subtle lights on both sides, act as the stream flowing slowly out from the rocks at the side.
Apart from the design storyline, the property still remains the practicality of the space and is still clearly created enough storage as a functional living space as well.
