Interior Design Project Info
Just as the restaurant name says, "Sushi Ya" simply means "sushi shop" in Japanese, with a humble spirit to offer reasonably priced Japanese sushi without compromising quality, in a casual and timeless setting.
Kaiten-zushi is a fast-food style of sushi originated from Japan, where plates of sushi revolve around the restaurant on a conveyor belt. To highlight this centre of attention, suspended wood truss ceiling structures inspired by the 'roof' on Sushi Ya logo, are hung at the seating zones to reimagine dining experience. Framed handcrafted stone textured wall with back-lit logo is another one-of-a-kind feature that sparks interests. Colour palette of carpentry is kept to similar tone contrasted with red bench cushion, that reflects modern and crisp impression of the branding identity.
