Project Overview
Interior Design Project Info
You must by now all know how much our client and we love Japanese design. The first thing that springs to mind is a feeling of Zen, a sense of ease and tranquility, translated into spaces that feel restorative to be in, and designs that are quietly beautiful.
Unlike other typical Muji themed design, KENGO aims to blend all Muji, Zen and modern seamlessly.
KENGO embraces the grain on wood pattern cherishing the way the light falls through a window, or just living with only what you need. Sometimes just looking at an image of a beautifully ordered Japanese home is enough to bring about that sensation of calm.
People may think that a wooden pattern ceiling only works in a classic interior, but KENGO executes it in a different way. The completely unexpected but oh- so perfectly textured ceiling has elevated the ambience to another level of tranquility. Thanks to our client for giving us the opportunity to challenge the status quo to realise this design.
We use vertical lines and white tone in the foyer and kitchen to make this compact apartment look spacious and cheerful. The layout of the kitchen cabinet are optimised for clients daily usage and storage. A small kitchen counter is a plus point for client to enjoy quick meal and tea time which she would never has expected.
The finishing touch is of course the little gold color in the living room, which bring a little fun and details to KENGO but blend in so perfectly.
