Interior Design Project Info
The client wanted the home to be cosy and comfortable, but with a strong sense of style. One of the first things they addressed was the original home's layout, which needed a better flow, The brief included redesigning the kitchen dining space to suit dinner parties. Therefore, we decided to dismantle, reorientation, redesign and rebuild the kitchen, including a new statement island and merges with the dining space, but left spaces open to personalise the display with gins collection.
This is one of our first projects where we used quite a bit of colour. We also wanted the project to feel more luxurious, especially in the living and dining area. So we used subtle elements like darker wood texture, stainless steel and remain the existing herringbone timber flooring, to enhance the richness of the design. We also added marble elements on the island countertop and the bespoke dining table, to anchor the spaces. Although we used numerous materials, we ensured the details of the fit are refined yet simple.
The home became a lot stronger in style and character once we placed the furniture and artwork. In the sunny living room, a set of two ash wood coffee table sits between the curated 3-seater upholstered in fabric and Faye Toogood’s Roly-Poly chair.
