Private Office & Lounge @ Bukit Jalil
A dual-function space calls for a design identity that is individually distinct yet can flow seamlessly together as a single entity. This was the challenge which was carefully mastered by Little Ones Big Impact for the Private Office and Lounge, which was conceptualised, designed and built from scratch. This two-storey commercial lot measuring up to 6,676 square feet was divided into two areas: the ground level functions as an office workspace while the first level was converted into a bar and lounge. Envisioned as a coworking space, the office offers a visually pleasing and conducive space that is primed for creative thinking. Within it is a balance of communal work spaces, discussion areas and a break-out lounge which are connected via a meeting room and pantry. The black and metallic themed reception area juxtaposes the blue palette of the working space, the latter which further dominates the lounge above. The lounge is divided into several separate zones, each exudes its own unique characteristic in fine detail. The warm tones of the lounge’s entrance mirror that of the reception area at the ground level, embellished with used beer bottles and vertical foliage on its walls. At the walkway leading to the designated areas - namely the Party Zone, KTV Room, Bar & Lounge and Smoking Room – blue neon lights and mirrored walls visually expand the space. Lighting becomes a key design detail in each room, each defining the area which it occupies. Custom-made lava lamps suspend from the ceiling of the Bar & Lounge, casting a sophisticated vibe to the seating area; while luminous bar stools and tables are selected for the Party Zone. With this project, the challenge of uniting multiple elements with a single cohesive design language was beautifully executed with the application of modern aesthetics to combine form and function with style.
