To uplift the local design scene and cater to the needs of the regional market, TEKNI has officially partnered with Arketipo, a renowned Italian brand, bringing its world-class products to our shores.

Interior designers from the regional field were invited to witness the grand launch at TEKNI’s showroom at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, co-hosted by Atap.co and  TEKNI on Thursday, 23rd of February, 2023.

Given the brand’s origins, a sophisticated and classy Italian night was chosen to honour the brand’s refined and natural appearance, which included leather, fabric, and marble. The brain behind this impressive upholstered furniture company with a precise Italian design is Arketipo Firenze. This brand emphasizes elegance and functionality while ensuring that the natural elements used are of the finest quality, resulting in eye-catching and iconic furniture pieces.

Victoria from Arketipo introduced the brand and gave guests an insight into the intricacies and detail that go into creating these products. She further shared snippets of the company and its achievements in the past 40 years since being established.

Guests were treated to a tour of  TEKNI’s headquarters featuring brands like Montis from the Netherlands, Cattelan from Italy, Olta from Belgium, and Swissaire was shown by the company’s co-founder, Bryan Yong, to add excitement to the evening.

Arketipo believes that more homeowners are indulging in comfort when it comes to home furniture. Thus, by bringing this congenial luxury to Malaysia, local interior designers can now treat their homeowners with a range of gratifying furniture based on their preference.

Design Conversation: The Art of Living with Italian Design
Leveraging the night further, a round table discussion was held among local interior designers. James Yong (Interlink Design Solution), Alan Fong (Millimetre Design), Nick Fong (Nu Infinityhad the pleasure to engage with acquaintances from around the world, notably Victoria from Arketipo, and converse about the production process of high-end furniture and the premium pricing associated with their products.

The audio for the night was by K-ARRAY, and guests were treated to an audio experience from this Italian-founded brand that is widely regarded as one of the world’s most cutting-edge high-tech speaker manufacturers. With the creation of HP Sound Equipment in 1990 and K-ARRAY in 2000, the company has been pioneering and inventing innovative audio solutions for live entertainment and the most demanding architectural designs.

This elegant evening was more than just a product launch; it was also a perfect platform for interior designers to interact, meet new acquaintances, and develop existing relationships in order to foster a stronger camaraderie among the designers.

On a closing note, Atap.co capped the event with a warm gesture, presenting each of their guests with a basket full of Italian delights from Cultiveat, establishing the stage for an amazing evening of flavor and relationships.
