This Villa Lagenda 3-storey bungalow residence in Bukit Mertajam, mainland Penang, is the epitome of spacious living embraced in a cosy ambience.

One of the overall design concepts is to enhance the architectural elements of the home by allowing the interior living space to be basked in natural sunlight, creating a zen lifestyle home that is close to nature, calm with an openness of space. To achieve this, the interior design is kept to a minimal elegant theme, with contemporary design elements that is elevated with plants and green landscaped areas. The side extension to the home is designed as a dedicated to resemble an inviting verdant oasis, artfully landscaped with a man-made fish pond, quaint footpath and lush outdoor plants.

Upon entering the home, the entrance ceiling immediately attracts attention and leads your vision to the feature wall panel beside the grand staircase for wow factor. The use of natural materials such as stone, concrete, wood, marble and natural colours is in line with the idea of bringing nature elements into the home, resulting in a bright and airy space. The living space is naturally lit with ample sunlight, is wide and open. Different types of marble floor tiles with different textures are used to create fluid space separation. The ceiling design plays with different layers and materials as well, adding an interesting multi-faceted and multi-layered feel without being too overbearing.
