Villa Height 2: A Serene Oasis of Simplicity and Functionality

A stunning transformation for a young married couple passionate about simplicity, cleanliness, and a touch of nature in their home. Located in Seri Kembangan, this project beautifully encapsulates their vision of a clean, functional, and serene living space.

The couple shares a love for wine, plants, cooking, cars, travel, and family. Their home is a reflection of these passions, designed to be both a retreat and a hub for family gatherings.

They envisioned a simple, clean, and functional space that mirrors their appreciation for nature and simplicity. Their requirements included an open-plan living area, ample storage to declutter, high ceilings, abundant natural light, a wine bar, a spacious kitchen, a hidden door panel, a Japanese-style low seating family hall, and a grand entrance door.

Inspired by the Muji style with modern touches, Villa Height 2 boasts a neutral color palette with white hues and wood textures. The design incorporates wooden floors, quartz and wood tabletops, and fabric sheer and curtain, creating a harmonious blend of materials. Key pieces include a large solid wood door, a wood-textured display shelf for the liquor collection, and functional reeded glass sliding door with wooden frame.

This home features several standout elements, such as a luxurious bathroom with a 3-way rain shower and tall fluted panels concealing hidden doors. The open-plan layout seamlessly integrates the wet and dry kitchens with the living hall, maximizing space and functionality.

One of the main challenges was the limited space in the wet kitchen and the need to join the dry kitchen and living hall into one cohesive area, all while dealing with a ceiling full of beams. Additionally, optimizing space in the bathroom and walk-in wardrobe was crucial. The solution involved an open-plan layout with multi-hidden door panels, effectively maximizing every inch of space.

The couple is thrilled with their new home. "The end result is so much better than the initial ideation," they shared. They further expressed their satisfaction, stating, "The design perfectly captures our style and meets all our needs."
