Interior Design & Architectural Project Info
In this project, we’re fascinated with the idea of blurring the line between architecture, interior and landscape design.
We wanted the homeowners to feel as if they are living in a house with a private garden, visually connecting and allowing dialogue between the interior and its surrounding.
Rimba house is a cornered bungalow house, designed for a family of 4.
The main idea behind this house is to retain the existing 3 storey house, enhancing the privacy by inserting different layer of boundary wall, and then create a single storey extension with a new pool that integrated with the existing house seamlessly.
We really wanted to celebrate the quality of openness of this house - joinery and furnitures are generally kept low and minimal. The material palette is kept as as soft and subtle as possible. The inside and outside of the house are connected by large pieces of glazing, filled with natural daylight.
