DESIGN CONCEPT: INDUSTRIAL CHIC
BUILT-UP SIZE: 925 sqft
Small but well-designed from every angle, this 925 sqft condo elevates modern lifestyles into a new definition of comfort and style instantly. A project helmed by One Space Sdn Bhd, the overarching concept takes on an industrial-chic theme which features an interplay of dark and light materials against palette of natural tones.
The living room expresses the industrial inspired concept beautifully via the grey concrete-like finishing on the TV wall which is further complemented by a plush grey couch and dark grey rug. Beneath the TV, a wood console with under cabinet lighting and a dark grey base highlight the length of the floor space to bring out a stronger impression of the
chic concept.
Across the room, the dining area is designed as part of the open kitchen.
Across the room, the dining area is designed as part of the open kitchen. A wood table with four upholstered chairs are placed next to the kitchen island, adding on to the warm atmosphere. The kitchen is composed entirely of dark wood, accented with a dark countertop. Right opposite the kitchen, the built-in cabinet next to the front door is done
up in the same materials to create visual continuity.
We see the same dark wood finishing used in the master bedroom’s cabinet which extends into part of the adjacent wall where the headboard leans on. The other part of the wall is done up in a light tone to create contrast while designer pendant lamps at the side boost the stylish appeal of the room.
In the second bedroom, however, the designers have gone for a predominantly white palette. A thin dark wood slab tucked in between a smooth white wardrobe is a wonderful space-saving feature that offers a cosy space for displaying table top accessories or used as a desk.
For the bathrooms, a bright atmosphere is maintained using a light toned colour palette that matches the wood vanity tops and the polished surfaces on the walls and floor.
