We unveil a project that marries the timeless beauty of antique collections with the sleek sophistication of modern design. A stunning refurbishment of a sub-sale house located in the serene neighborhood of Bukit Jelutong. This transformation is a testament to the seamless integration of past and present, designed for a distinguished couple and their two children.

Our clients, a 60-year-old married couple, have dedicated their lives to health and wellness. The husband, an esteemed eye specialist, and the wife, a skilled general practitioner, share a deep passion for plants, gardening, and antique collecting. Their home reflects these interests, creating a unique sanctuary where nature and cherished collectibles coexist in harmony.

The vision for the project was to modernize the interior while honoring the couple's existing decorative collector items. The goal was to enhance the original structural integrity and layout, resulting in a space that is both simple and practical, with ample views of nature and natural sunlight pouring in.

Embracing a minimalist Balinese style, the design employs a soothing color palette of white and light beige. Materials like natural stone, solid wood, and wool carpet add warmth and texture, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. Key pieces, such as a Turkey wool carpet and various decorative collector items, serve as focal points that enrich the overall aesthetic.

The project boasts several unique features that set it apart. Recessed light troughs with LED guiding walkways enhance safety and ambiance. A skylight ingeniously leads to a waterfall on a pond during rain at the interior main entrance, bringing a touch of nature indoors. A planted corner with bohemian tiles leads to a charming powder room, while a welcoming art fluted wall panel cabinet at the car porch offers a stunning first impression.

One of the major challenges was maintaining the structural integrity of the house while integrating the clients' antique collection into a modern concept. This was achieved by using raw natural materials treated with advanced technology to ensure durability and consistency. The materials of the antique collection were meticulously matched with those used in the new construction, creating a seamless blend of old and new.

The clients are delighted with their revitalized home.
