A retreat apartment in beautiful Maldives with soft white sandy beaches, the sounds of clear
blue waves washing against the shore, and the chirping sound of nature in the sun playing in
the background sound like a far-fetched getaway dream. Conceptualised for a white owner,
the idea is to live akin to a villa surrounded with a breathtaking seaside view.
Celebrating simplicity in design, the minimal approach of its bare white and open-plan space
comprises the living, the dining and the kitchen space. Nothing short of modern aesthetics,
the elegant wood tones donned the living room’s space. Adapting clean lines and the
uncluttered nature, the wooden wall structure comes as an in-built open shelves, storage
space, which are concealed with hidden cabinet doors and doors to a private room.
The feature wall then extends towards the television console table, backdropped with white
brick cladding wall while the luxurious marble top the woody accent. An orange-brownish
leather couch lounge at the back of space, mingled with other contemporary furniture’s
schemes put together, all looking out towards the balcony of the scenic sea view.
The scene changes to the dining space, as the marble dining set is fancily prepared for a set
of six, paired with grey dining chairs and a grey cushioned bench seat fixed against the wall,
adorned with grey picture frames and shelves for knick-knacks. In the meantime, an array of
black net lampshades of different heights, hung down, litting up the space.
Food brings people together, hence the kitchen certainly welcomes the tall kitchen unit
topped with a marble top. The refrigerator, washing machine, oven and microwave are
neatly stored inside the built, giving off a sleek, seamless storage. Made to impress, the
marble kitchen island brings the crowd, while heads turn towards the artistic woodwork
framed the bare wall laid with cut-out kitchen utensils, admiring its creative craftsmanship.
