As employees spend a portion of their day at work, it is important to design the workspace with a few considerations such as comfort, functionality, creativity. These elements can have a big impact on individual occupying the space as having an aesthetically pleasing office space can influence focus and more. With this realization, Kith & Kin Realty Sdn Bhd had commissioned Line2pixels Studio to design an office that inspires.

Line2pixels Studio delivered an office that reflects the brand identity of the firm and more. Designed mostly in shades of black with accents of timber and greenery, the end result of this office space is one that is both flexible and progressive. Spanning 2,400 sq ft, this office space does away with cubicles and adopts an open space concept where the atmosphere is flexible. Line2pixels Studio have artfully executed a balancing act where the blacks and whites don’t overpower each other or the space while the timber accents bring the whole space together. On the working space; shades of black and white are juxtaposed to en- sure the space is edgy and bold yet vibrant.

Throughout the space, importance is given to natural lighting and is achieved through large windows that al- low plenty of sunlight to pour in. At strategic points, lush green plants provide respite to tired eyes and recharges energy and productivity.

Moving away from the work space, is the pantry and lounge area. The former is space that combines both the retro and modern designs to create a jarring affect that transforms the space from ordinary to extraordinary. A striking point is the vintage tiles and bar stools in a rich chocolate brown that is reminiscent to a diner scene in any American movie. Brick wall in white, dome pendant lights, and bottle green cabinetry complete the look.

The pièce de résistance of this office space is definitely the lounge area. Continuing the retro tone, the space is viv- idly bright and comes to life with an edgy colour combi- nation. Against the backdrop of artificial plants, rests two single-seater sofas in chocolate. On the other wall, lines running across the length of the wall and placed strategi- cally to form three triangles elevates the wall up a notch.
Adjacent to the pantry is a concealed space that serves either as an event space or meeting room. Instead of walls, the team at Line2pixels Studio has used glass that not only helps to conceal the space from view but also doubles up as a writing board. Flipping the colour combi- nation, the individual office rooms are done up mostly in white with black used for furniture and other accessories.

The office space of Kith & Kin promises to be youthful, energetic, and bold without compromising on the comfort and well-being of its staff while Line2pixels Studio have outdone themselves.
