Ilaria, a three-storey bungalow, has undergone a transformation that fuses modern elegance with minimalist luxury. The first step in this transformation involved stripping away the old floor finishes and replacing them with large slab tiles, creating a seamless and sleek foundation that sets the tone for the rest of the design. Alongside the flooring overhaul, all existing electrical systems were upgraded, including new distribution boards and submain cables, ensuring that the home is equipped for modern living. The renovation also addressed a crucial issue with the old ABS water pipes, which had begun to leak. These were replaced with new PPR pipes for both hot and cold water, offering improved durability and reliability.

The interior design of Ilaria embraces a harmonious blend of neutral tones, clean lines, and understated sophistication, creating a space that feels effortlessly luxurious without being overwhelming. Marble surfaces are featured strategically throughout the home, enhancing its sense of opulence while maintaining a serene and calming atmosphere. At the heart of the design is the Arabescato bookmatched marble in the dry kitchen, a stunning focal point that immediately captures attention upon entering the house. This elegant feature embodies the refined balance between simplicity and luxury that defines Ilaria’s aesthetic.

Lighting plays a key role in the overall design, with soft, ambient illumination carefully positioned to highlight essential elements such as floating marble consoles and integrated shelving. These features are enhanced by the natural light that pours in through large windows, amplifying the sense of openness and airiness within the home. In the master bedroom, an innovative sliding track to hide the TV when not in use, maintaining the room’s clean lines and uncluttered feel; “push-to-slide” mechanism is applied to the entrance of the master walk-in wardrobe, preserving the seamless flow between spaces while optimizing storage and accessibility.

Beyond its aesthetic and functional accomplishments, the design of Ilaria also embodies a commitment to sustainability and future-proofing. The entire electrical system has been updated to enhance energy efficiency, reflecting a modern approach to sustainable living.
