Crowd 99 Café’s interior concept celebrates the essence of happiness and togetherness, inspired by the brand’s mission to deliver joy to everyone, from children to older people. The design draws from the café’s tagline “Happiness Begins Here”, transforming the space into a cheerful, vibrant environment that instantly uplifts the mood.

Before MOM Designer House was engaged, the café lacked an established corporate identity, a defined color palette, materials, and a clear spatial direction. MOM stepped in to craft a brand narrative through design. Rooted in the owner’s original use of blue, MOM introduced a striking complementary orange to evoke warmth, energy, and happiness. The combination of mint blue and tangerine orange became the brand’s visual DNA, bold, youthful, and instantly recognizable while maintaining a timeless charm through light oak textures and soft cream tones.

The 1,100 sq ft layout was designed to maximize comfort and flow within a compact footprint. A clear zoning strategy separates the ordering counter from the dining area while maintaining visual openness through low partitions and linear seating arrangements.
Large existing windows were preserved to invite ample natural light, reducing reliance on artificial lighting during the day and enhancing the café’s energy efficiency. The use of layered lighting from recessed downlights to warm accent sconces creates a soft, inviting ambiance that transitions effortlessly from day to night.

MOM integrated practical design detailing: built-in banquette seating for space efficiency, durable yet comfortable furniture for long dining hours, and seamless finishes for easy maintenance. Sustainable materials, such as rattan-woven chair backs and wood laminates, provide warmth and tactility while minimizing environmental impact.

The visual language is a balanced blend of retro playfulness and modern freshness. The patterned terracotta-white circular floor tiles form the soul of the space, rhythmic, bold, and instantly memorable. The mint blue counters and trims contrast beautifully with the glossy orange feature wall, creating a visually striking setting that enhances the café’s identity and social media presence.
A hanging canopy of greenery adds a natural touch, softening the strong color scheme and creating a refreshing balance between vibrancy and calm. The phrase “Happiness Begins Here” in neon script acts as both a design centerpiece and emotional anchor, reinforcing the café’s optimistic spirit.

MOM’s creative direction transformed a once-ordinary café into a distinctive lifestyle brand. The originality lies in its color psychology, redefining orange and mint as symbols of happiness and comfort, rather than contrast and clash. The team’s innovative use of modular detailing, like the curved counter edge and concealed LED accents, subtly merges branding and functionality.

Every design gesture, from the orange-lined partition edges to the rounded signage forms, reflects continuity and friendliness, transforming the brand’s identity into an immersive spatial experience. This approach illustrates MOM’s signature philosophy: treating every project like a “child,” nurtured with care, individuality, and emotional value.

Crowd 99 is designed as a community café where happiness is shared through space. Every seating angle provides a visual connection to friends, nature, and the heart of the café. The bright tones invite laughter, conversations, and family gatherings, while the natural textures ground the space in a sense of comfort.
The environment feels equally welcoming to a child enjoying ice cream or an elderly couple sipping coffee, capturing the brand’s inclusive spirit.
