Nestled in the heart of the city, this project makes the most of its surrounding lush greenery. The Bukit Tunku villa is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home boasting a tv room, office, pool, and a prized forest view. Entering through a path framed with large bushes and landscaping, the house is cloaked in natural wood tones, glass, and raw red brick, blending neatly into the city’s little forest-scape.
The house is wrapped up movable louvered panels that control the amount of light and ventilation moving through the house. The living room features a double volume space with full height louvers that roll to either side and open the living room out three ways to connect with the outdoor spaces. The pool, an extended seating area, and a sweeping view of matured trees and a hint of the city’s skyline make up the extensions of the living room space. Bedrooms boast similar views, some with a buffer of an external corridor and wood louvers which can be opened to affect light, ventilation, as well as privacy.
