Ratings and Reviews
Naythan and Zet showed their professional expertise when handling my inquiries. I actually met with several interior design firms, Doubble Interior wasn't the cheapest, but the materials they use are top-notch.
Naythan was in charge of my project, and Zet stepped in to manage all my consultations and home design. Whenever Zet faced a challenge, he would discuss it with their colleagues or Naythan and find a solution, which is a good collaboration. Zet has a knack for collaborating with other contractors like electricians, plasterers, and carpenters. To be honest, the design really hit the mark in terms of our needs.
The only hiccup was an issue with the plumber, but even though it was resolved, I think there's room for improvement in that area. Once I moved in, there were some patches and minor repairs that needed to be addressed, but Zet was always on the ball and made sure everything got fixed, so i don't need to worry about after-sales service. That's something I usually keep an eye on, and they did an excellent job there.
Overall, it's a fantastic design—attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, high quality, and great customer service. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good quality and assurance interior design company.
Today of last year, I met Andrew in my new house, I told him that “I'm a hard nut to crack, if you have no confidence to fulfill my requirements, please don’t take this job”. After one week he sent me the proposal and quotation, and our journey begin.
I can say that Doubble Interior's construction work details below my expectation, but Andrew performed more than I expected, He always listens to my complaints and solves them patiently, Even though I always make things difficult for him with sarcasm, this 27-year-old boy always accepts it with a very humble attitude. He is undoubtedly the person who made me feel at ease during the entire renovation period.
Nobody is perfect, While there were a lot of issues and grievances throughout, our relationship was like teammates, I knew exactly what I wanted, and they provided expertise and skills. We worked together, learned from each other, and completed my beautiful home together, I'm so glad to work with Andrew and Doubble Interior.

I've had the wonderful opportunity of engaging with Doubble Interior for my subsale unit's renovations. My main point of contact was Mei Yee, who did an excellent job overall in managing the renovation process from end to end.
Mei Yee was very professional, patient and responsive throughout the entire process. She visualized and iterated on my Scandinavian-styled design theme wonderfully until I was satisfied. Additionally, she provided insightful comments on the practicality of several design elements based on the brief I provided to her.
Once renovation works commenced, she effectively managed all of the contractors to ensure that all of the works progressed on schedule and that any problems were fixed. Communication during this period was also very clear, and despite some small miscommunications/misunderstandings at times, Mei Yee went out of her way to correct those defects.
The workmanship of Doubble's contractors are also to be commended. The renovation was quite large in scope as everything in my unit had to be torn down and built back up. The tiling, carpentry, glassworks and plumbing were done up to a very high standard and Mei Yee had the contractors promptly fix any small defects that I highlighted after I moved in. As a result, Mei Yee's designs translated beautifully from her drawings into the actual unit itself.
I have nothing but good things to say of my experience with Mei Yee and Doubble Interior. They made sure the renovation was collaborative and as hassle-free as possible all the way through. Thanks to them, a tired old condo unit has been transformed into my dream home.
It was money well-spent engaging their services and I would whole-heartedly go with Doubble Interior again should I have any need for interior design/renovation services in the future.
We first found out about Doubble randomly from the Atap. They didn't have a lot of portfolios on the site, but one photo caught our eyes, what drew our attention was their portfolio has quite a bit of closeup photos, and the quality of the carpentry and composition of these pictures shows their confidence and taste in their work that quite matches with what we're looking for.
Our designers were William(one of the founders) and Ebah; they were both very friendly and professional. Below are some of our experiences working with them.
Communication: Throughout the design and renovation process, one thing that we really enjoyed was the communication. It's always very direct and honest on what they can and can't do, whether or not it's realistic. William was experienced and able to adapt to our requests and provide solutions to meet our needs. We wanted to have a bigger walk-in wardrobe than what the developer provided, and William came up with a solution to maximize the space by moving the door position without compromising on the overall impression of the room size.Whenever we have concerns or uncertainties, he will give us assurance whether the idea works and not just blindly accommodate our needs; the communication feels more like a collaboration like they really care about you and the satisfaction you get when you live in your new home. More importantly, is that they treat their clients like friends (at least this is our experience), are very genuine and sincere, try their best to work within the budget we have, and don't feel like they're constantly giving you a 'sales pitch' and trying to squeeze money out of you.
Even when there was an issue with the renovation, they were honest to let us know what happened and how they planned to rectify it. Once during renovation, we found out that a window was left open during a heavy downpour, and the wooden floorboards were soaking wet because of this. When we informed William and Ebah about this, they immediately assured us that they would investigate and assess the damage, and if they really found the flooring damaged, they would replace them for us, which they did eventually.
Helpfulness: Doubble has been very helpful and very generous with giving suggestions and advice. We can always ask them for their opinion, even if it's not technically part of their scope. For example, when we were shopping for sofas, William came with us to the shop to advise us on which sofa and seats and what color to get that works best with our ID, but we had very specific 'comfort' requirements and a lot of the designer sofas are not very comfortable to actually sit on, so he actually spent a few hours with us to find something that is the best of both worlds.
Apart from that, we also asked them for advice on other stuff such as bar stool color/design, measurement on appliances, curtain color, carpet size, and decor, and they even bought lights and bulbs for us at a discounted price! They even helped us install some big appliances such as a dishwasher, washing machine, and TV/TV bracket, etc. We had contracted some other vendors to work on air conditioning, curtains, and (simple) landscaping, and William and Ebah asked us to pass him the contractors' numbers. He coordinated with them directly for us.They also helped receive parcels and bulky deliveries to the site, and we didn't even need to be there personally! I can say it's really a hassle-free experience.
Integrity: We engaged with them after MCO 1, but MCO 2 came, and we weren't able to start our renovation. During which raw material prices hiked up drastically, but William was honest and didn't take this opportunity to mark up our renovation price; he told us our price was locked before the price hike, and his cost with the supplier was also locked, so they will charge us what was in our original quote. It was easy for him to exploit us, and we couldn't have done anything, but they didn't, which I really appreciate.
There was an incident where our furniture was going to be delivered, but the house was still very dusty; knowing the timeline Ebah had arranged for cleaners to come the day before the deliveries arrived, but unfortunately, the cleaners didn't show up that day. Strapped for time, William and Ebah, and another one of his colleagues went to our house and personally cleaned it! and this happened during Puasa Month; we felt really bad for Ebah when we found out but really appreciated what they did for us in keeping their promise.
Workmanship: Doubble's is especially proud of their carpenters. Before we engaged with them they invited us to their studio in Bukit Jalil to check out their carpentry work, which looked good, but at the same time, we did have doubts about whether our house would be done by the same carpenters or will it have the same quality. The actual result is consistent with what they promised: the cabinet doors and drawers all line up perfectly and open smoothly, the laminated surfaces look neat, and the edges of the laminated panels are treated nicely. Our house has A LOT of fluted panels, which were all laminated, and I saw their 'Sifu' carpenters patiently going through and touching up each and every edge of the fluted panel manually. They have also taken extra care on the work they do, our bed design is a customized raised platform, and they put in extra care and RnD in the factory to ensure that the bed's structure is strong enough to withstand people jumping on the platform. Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and value of their work, and even if there's any defect or feedback, they will go out of their way to rectify it for us.
We have dealt with a few renovators and contractors over the years for our previous houses and offices, and I must say dealing with Doubble has been the most smooth and enjoyable process of them all. As with any renovation, there are hiccups along the way, but how they deal with the situation makes them different. Instead of playing the blame game, Doubble is there to solve problems and make your dream home the best it could be. Overall the experience has been very positive, and I highly recommend them if you want to renovate your place!
We selected Doubble Interior because of its close links with the developer. The progress of the renovation was interrupted by various developer defects. Nonetheless, Naythan assisted us in going through the complex process of overcoming the obstacles to complete the renovation. He also coordinated with the other providers (lighting, oven and hob, air-cond) to ensure the installations were done correctly.
Overall, the result was what we desired despite the hiccups. It is beneficial to have an ID that does not shy from problems but focuses on problem-solving. Most importantly, because of their close links with the development, we were assured that any problem which arose during and after renovation could be attended to quickly.
I waited for 4 months before I gave this review, just to ensure I was objective in giving a fair review.
From the beginning, I was impressed with Naythan’s professionalism in handling my inquiry as I actually met 4 ID companies, and turn out he was the one who came back with professional advice and quotation that made sense, not the cheapest one but with better material. One of the IDs is not even responding at all; maybe my budget is too small for them.
Lemon is the designer that actually handled my project, but he was wrapping up another project; hence Naythan helped to manage all my inquiries.
Whenever they have roadblocks and challenges, they will discuss them with their other peers to solve them, so it’s good and shows their company’s culture. Lemon is good at collaborating with other contractors like electricians and carpenters. They know I need to rush in before year-end, and Lemon even worked proactively to adjust the schedule with some other contractor to finish the work as soon as possible.
The only downside is the delay from the carpenter, I know it’s a lack of manpower, and everyone else is rushing to move in before year-end / CNY, but I think they can improve the time planning. Nevertheless, the carpenter is quite good in their workmanship, and they even improved some kitchen cabinets’ partitions that were not in Lemon’s design, which I really appreciated. On the last day before handing over my house, together with Lemon and the carpenter, we worked until 10 pm to wrap things up, so their commitment and work attitude were top-notch. I also want to highlight that during that few days, it’s flooding everywhere in Klang and Shah Alam, which makes the material delivery even more complicated. Still, they try their very best to deliver.
After I moved in, there were some touch-up and small fixes here and there that are required, and Lemon always follows up closely with me and make sure the carpenter and wet work side come and fix it, so after-sales service is definitely something you no need to worry about.
Also, I want to call out that there’s a very sweet gesture, that Naythan and Lemon gave me a housewarming gift which surprised me.
In conclusion, these 2 young guys are very good, and I like them very much, good design, attention to detail, good workmanship, good quality, and good customer service. Strongly recommended!
