Project/
Refurbishing an existing two-storey semi-detached residence in Bangsar KL, Malaysia.
Design Philosophy/
This existing aged semi detached residence is situated in Bangsar, the suburb hilly residential area 15 minutes away from the city of KL, where the rear of the house facing an open hill overlooking the skyline of the city on the side. The Client requested for a contemporary space which reflects the character of himself as a young professional in creative industry. Working on an existing residential house which was built back in the 80’s, turning the conventional living spaces into something minimal, workable and yet cosy for the Client’s contemporary lifestyle.
Design Statement/
Refurbishing an existing building is never merely to upgrade the physical appearance but to re-investigate into the potential of the existing spaces, to re-discover the essence in them, and with creativities in the re-configuration, to re-present them to the building users with brand new spatial experiences that we have long anticipated.
