Interior Design & Architectural Project Info
This project is an extension home for a young married couple, encompassing both the interior and architectural façade design. The goal is to create a clean, spacious, and functional living space that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
At the entrance foyer, a semi-see-through riddle glass divider separates the living area, maintaining an open and spacious feel. This divider integrates a display shelf where the client can showcase decorative items collected from overseas. On the right, a full-height shoe cabinet includes an open shelf for keys and a specialized compartment for a cleaning robot, ensuring both functionality and organization.
In the living area, the TV cabinet is designed with a hidden door to the storeroom, enhancing the visual appeal of the space with clean, linear designs. To complement the minimalist aesthetic, magnetic track lighting has been selected for its flexibility, allowing adjustments based on specific needs. Anti-glare lighting is applied in certain areas to ensure a comfortable and visually pleasing environment.
The kitchen, considered the heart of the home, is designed for functionality and convenience. It features accessories such as corner baskets, sauce drawers, and plate organizers to streamline meal preparation. The use of large tile slabs with matching grout creates a seamless and clean look, emphasizing the minimalist theme.
The first floor is dedicated to the master bedroom, which is divided into four areas: a working area, bed area, walk-in wardrobe, and master bathroom. The working area is positioned to take advantage of natural light, promoting better eyesight and creating a pleasant environment for work. The bedhead design incorporates textured paint and laminated panels with LED strip lights, creating a clean and comfortable aesthetic. The walk-in wardrobe features a full-height mirror with LED lighting, custom-made glass cabinets, and melamine wardrobes. An open shelf is provided for hanging daily wear clothes and towels, ensuring that the space is both spacious and bright.
Special attention is given to lighting design in collaboration with a lighting consultant to ensure optimal illumination throughout the home. This tailored approach to lighting enhances the overall ambiance, making the space more inviting and functional.
