Interior Design Project Info
The owners, who both work in the art industry, had a clear picture of what they wanted for their home. On top of their design brief was a spacious space that could double as their work studio, a functional kitchen, a cosy dining room, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
The first step in bringing their concept from paper to life was to relocate the dining room from the front of the house to the extended back, while the front section was transformed into their studio. As part of their work nature and also to embody a healthier lifestyle, materials used throughout the house were specially selected and customised to be formaldehyde-free certified.
Coated in Morandi green, the kitchen and dining area serve as an accent, oozing a sense of quiet tranquillity. Featuring diverse patterns and colours, the hexagon tiles were customised and incorporated in accordance with the client's concept to further bring out their personalities, making it more than just a kitchen but an elegant artwork. Thanks to the opening and skylight, a generous amount of natural light casts into the dining area, offering a lovely “outdoor” dining experience.
