Interior Design Project Info
The design concept centers around “Rebirth through Refinement.”
It reflects the homeowners’ evolution over the decade — from the rush and practicality of youth to a calmer, more intentional pursuit of quality and balance.
The main focus lies in transforming the three aging bathrooms and the master suite, followed by upgrades to the living, dining, and kitchen areas.
The original master bedroom and the adjacent room were combined into a comprehensive master suite, featuring a bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom, and storage area — creating a seamless daily flow.
The bathroom layout was reconfigured to expand the shower zone, better aligning with the owners’ lifestyle.
The old bathtub’s half-wall and glass divider were replaced with a full-height fluted glass screen, allowing natural light to filter through while maintaining privacy.
This gentle play of light and shadow symbolizes renewal, clarity, and cleansing — the spirit of rebirth within the home.
This transformation is not merely spatial — it’s an emotional transition from youthful spontaneity to mature restraint and understated elegance.
The overall palette embraces dark minimalism, balancing cool tones of grey, black, and metal with the warmth of timber flooring — achieving the owners’ vision of Dark Minimalist · Modest Luxury.
Lighting plays a key emotional role.
The interplay of ambient and indirect lighting creates a hotel-like calmness. The homeowners wished for a soft, enveloping atmosphere — a space where they could unwind, watch a movie, and share stories at the end of the day.
Here, lighting transcends its functional role to become an element of emotion and intimacy.
Through this harmony of texture, tone, and illumination, the home exudes a quiet tension — understated yet powerful, serene yet expressive.
The renewed spatial planning emphasizes fluidity and comfort.
The master suite integrates rest, dressing, bathing, and storage areas into one coherent flow.
The walk-in wardrobe doubles as both a functional and display space, with a dedicated corner for accessories and travel keepsakes — reflecting the couple’s appreciation for life and memory.
Each bathroom has been rethought for proportion and purpose, allowing for intuitive use and a sense of calm ritual in everyday living.
Material selection follows the principles of durability, tactility, and timelessness.
Key finishes include Nero Marquina marble countertops, fluted glass panels, 8mm laminated flooring, and brushed metal fittings.
The contrast and layering of textures reflect the couple’s personal aesthetic — a dialogue between depth and restraint, luxury and subtlety.
All three bedrooms feature high-resilience laminated flooring for practicality and comfort, grounding the overall dark minimal palette in warmth and softness.
This project adopts a “renewal over reconstruction” philosophy — preserving existing structures wherever possible to minimize demolition and material waste.
The living and dining ceilings were refined rather than replaced, achieving visual enhancement with minimal environmental impact.
Energy-efficient LED lighting and low-VOC waterproof coatings were used throughout, reducing long-term energy use and maintenance costs.
Ultimately, this is a story of sustainable rebirth — keeping memories alive while embracing a greener, longer-lasting future.
✨ Conclusion
This renovation is more than a makeover; it is a rebirth of life and time.
A once modest marital home has transformed into a space of serenity, elegance, and quiet luxury.
Through thoughtful design, the home is not just renewed — it is redefined.
Because in this story of rebirth,
a home is no longer just a shelter —
it is the embodiment of time, emotion, and the evolving art of living.
