Introduction :
Mercure Miri is an ode to the city of Miri and the island
of Borneo. A visual serenade to its rich surroundings,
vibrant history and cultural significance. Guests will be
taken through a journey that is unmistakenly inspired by
the locality, through the signature lense that is Mercure
as a brand. The core design approach is to shine light
over what is authentic, culturally-accurate, and accessible
to local and international guests alike.
Throughout the public areas and shared spaces, guests
would be pleasantly surprised with the bold and curated
collection of decorative artwork on the walls that display
a wide array of flora and fauna that are unique to Miri.
There is a constant play between nature-inspired interiors,
blended in with vibrant colors, and ornamental local culture references.
As the interior pathway continues into the more experiential
spaces such as the restaurants and bars, guest rooms,
and other Mercure Miri's signature facilities, guests will
discover the precious and subtle traits of Miri’s artisans
and craftsmanship heritage. In contrast, there's a sense
of calmness and rejuvenation in the rainforest inspired
co-working spaces on Level 3 of the property. This design
approach comes fully pronounced in the property's
signature suites, designed with the spirit of nature and
wilderness in mind to accent the jungle and coastline
themes. Natural finishes and reinvigorating tones set the
mood for guests to relax, recuperate and rejuvenate.
Mercure Miri is purposefully designed to tell the stories
where nature's wonders co-exist with the rich local
