A home where nature, light, and calmness coexist
This project explores the seamless integration of architecture, interiors, and landscape. The vision was to craft a living environment where the boundaries between inside and outside dissolve, allowing the family to experience their home as part of a private garden sanctuary. This corner-lot double storey terrace house, designed for a family of six, is built upon the structure of an existing two storey house. A new double-storey extension was added to accommodate an open living area with high ceiling, a big curtain thoughtfully connected to the old structure. One of the core design intentions was to embrace the sense of openness. Furniture and built-ins remain low and streamlined, keeping the visual weight light and allowing uninterrupted views across the home and into the garden. The material choices are subtle and natural, reinforcing the calm, grounded atmosphere. Expansive glazing opens the interiors to the landscape, bathing the space in daylight and creating constant visual interaction with the outdoors. A full-height glass window was designed in the living room, allowing residents to enjoy views of the private garden while flooding the interior with natural daylight. The result is a tranquil, modern home that invites nature in and encourages effortless living in harmony with its surroundings.
