Kawai has a never ending quest to elevate the art of instrumental craftsmanship, this Japanese company continues to fulfil its calling as the future of the piano. Hence, the showroom captures some elements of Japanese design in a modern interior transcendent space.
Japanese aspire to the concept of minimalistic therefore, we carefully selected our design material. The featured wall is inspired by the vertical elements in the piano instrument. The materials used in this space are a combination of wooden vertical planks and the white PU leather vertical wall stripes which gives good sound absorption. Red color, a vibrant colour expresses their corporate logo design. This striking colour also set a contrast within the space. The wooden flooring texture creates a homey feeling to the shoppers of Kawai. It provides beautiful, natural and authentic wood finishes that are stunning for the showroom. This feature in the space is not solely for aesthetic purposes however, it also provides good sound absorption. The designer considered having good sound absorption in this premise as this is still; a music showroom.
Hierarchy in space serves a vital role in this showroom. The spaces are divided into a few stages according to the types of pianos. Upon entering the showroom, the simple and affordable keyboards are being displayed at front and as the buyer advances further inside the premise, there stood the most elegant and grand piano in the Kawai Piano showroom.
This seamless design Kawaii showroom is not just a shop with a sole purpose of selling pianos but to promote an ideal lifestyle to have a piano in every home as a beautiful and elegant decoration. It elevates and uplifts the buyer's home interior.
