Converted from an old semi-detached house on Jalan Serampang in Johor Bahru, Gent Utopia Enterprise & The Ambiguous Cafe is the home to the coolest and hippest fashion boutique and cafe. The design incorporates elements from the old house with raw and simple materials to create a venue that is versatile yet unexpected. Trying to stay true to the original house, more emphasis was put on bringing a new twist to the vintage elements, eg. scissor gate, existing decorative grills, vintage handrail, creative use of bricks' pattern etc. to bring a modern feel to the project.
