Project Overview
Interior Design Project Info
The homeowners are a couple who are very passionate about classic design, so most of the house has been redesigned with the hope of completely transforming it into their ideal space. Modern classic interior design is a style that blends contemporary elements with traditional aesthetics, creating a timeless and elegant look. To achieve a modern classic look in interior design, start by establishing a neutral colour palette with whites, grey, and taupes, accented by deeper hues like navy or burgundy for sophistication. Incorporate a mix of modern and classic furniture pieces, we choosing high-quality materials such as wood, metal, and luxurious fabrics for upholstery. Layering different textures, like velvet and leather, adds depth and warmth.
Lighting is crucial, so opt for statement fixtures like contemporary chandeliers or elegant sconces that complement the overall aesthetic. Architectural details, such as crown molding and wainscoting, contribute to the classic feel, while art and accessories should blend contemporary and traditional styles for an eclectic mix. Natural materials like hardwood or marble floors, paired with area rugs, ground the space, and elegant drapery enhances the windows. Adding indoor plants brings life and vibrancy to the design, while personal touches like heirlooms or curated decor create a unique character. By thoughtfully combining these elements, you can create a cohesive and inviting modern classic interior that feels both timeless and current.
It is worth mentioning that the layout of this home has been completely adjusted according to the homeowners' habits. Since the male homeowner is a barber, we designed a small salon on the right side upon entering. Customers can prepare there upon arrival without having to pass through other areas of the house, thus maintaining the homeowner's personal privacy. On the first floor, we also transformed the family area into a dressing room for the female homeowner, allowing her more space for clothes and bags. Additionally, we constructed a small loft on the first floor, which has become their workspace. Although it’s only a double-storey house, we have made full use of all the space to create a home that meets their requirements perfectly.
