Interior Design & Architectural Project Info
The overall design concept of the house's exterior is inspired by a musical staff, incorporating aluminium strip louvres to elegantly conceal parts of the rooms. With the client's preference for white as the primary color, black accents are introduced to enhance contrast. These aluminium louvres not only protect against rain but can also be adjusted to allow sunlight in when desired.
Inside, the design concept revolves around rock instruments, reflecting the client’s strong passion for rock music and her affinity for white objects, which inspired the name White Rocker. The overall design style embraces minimalism, breathing new life into what was once a dark and dated home. The living and dining areas feature numerous light-admitting designs, and small trees are planted in the living room to infuse the space with vitality.
The color palette skillfully blends natural materials, such as stone and wood, adding both contrast and an organic feel to the overall design. To address the challenges posed by the low ceiling and complex beams and columns, the design incorporates curved shapes to elegantly envelop the existing beams. The two-story living area enhances the design, creating an impression of spaciousness and grandeur. Additionally, elongated fan supports are installed for stability.
Given that the original space was dark and poorly ventilated, the designer implemented various thoughtful solutions, including numerous pivot windows in the master bedroom to establish a connection between the upper and lower levels, transforming the once dim interiors into a bright and airy environment.
