Interior Design & Architectural Project Info

The façade is imposing in dark and white colours; corrugated glass roof and
balcony rail sit on top of white painted porch and black automatic gate.
Opening the black metal front door moves the palette light to Calacatta
white marble backing the white and textured grey altar. The same textured
wall is shared with the display niche that doubles as a hidden doorway. Sprawled
throughout this entire ground floor, the irregular patterned marble flooring stands
out against the subtle grey sofa and its matching contemporary coffee table. To
provide ample storage without taking up too much space, the television nook is
made out of black and wood wall-mounted panels topped by white cabinets.
Giving the walls a break from patterns, its plain grey wall stands behind a
contemporary pendant chandelier and its unique dining table. Ensuing the use of
familiar patterns to gel the home’s theme together, the bar is furnished with black
stools to compliment the black and warm wood island. The ceiling-mounted cabinet
on the other hand is painted white with wood doors, to move the colour scheme
into the black framed glass door. Beyond, the wet kitchen is found in polished white
cabinetry, quarts marble countertop and wood backsplash. Neat and clean, it is the
perfect colour combination for a bright and spacious cooking area.
The use of modern white metal bars on dark timber stairs catches the eye immediately.
It invites the occupant to move up the stairs on to the practical and cosy study area.
Using matte varnished flooring, the lighter wood study table gives the illusion of a
large work space. The designers have cleverly added ceiling-mounted cabinetry in
grey to continue the clutter-free atmosphere. Through the sliding doors, a breath of
fresh in rushes in from the sheltered patio. To provide both safety and style, grill is
in horizontal painted brown metal that can be set into the corner in a chic manner.
Elegant and tasteful, the master bedroom uses hidden lights in the built-in wood and
upholstered panelled headboard. A single contemporary pendant light drops down
to further illuminate one of the side tables. Facing the bed, the wall and ceiling are
painted grey to give a visually defined depth. Matching the white and wood storage
space is the television panel. This room is designed to give the walk-in wardrobe
privacy away from prying eyes. Thus, the designers have made use of wood to create
wall-to-wall clothes storage and display cabinet. All these can be hidden behind a
heavy wood sliding door.
Delving into the dark end, the second bedroom’s full height built-in storage and
bedframe match its floor. With modern up-down light, a unique bedside table is
created. The rest of the walls however remain white to balance light and dark perfectly.
The final room on the first floor is furnished simply with a dark wood and fabric
bedframe. Practical for the guardian of a young child, a long black coffee table is set
for formula milk preparation. The electric spring cot is then tucked into a cosy niche
beside the bed.
