A smart young yet family-oriented man with a humble character who is pursuing sophisticated simplicity and touches of luxury, and wanting these to be reflected in his house with contemporary minimalism style.

Client’s Culture & Space
A generally big and young family with 2 elderly parents, 4 young adults & 6 kids who enjoy the spaciousness and cosy airy rooms filled with natural sunlight, quality privacy in their own space yet close interaction among the 3 generations at the common areas.

Poor surrounding view quality.

Concept of The Iv Retreat
Named after the client, the design concept is Contemporary-minimalism & Green central-courtyard themed, which is the direct interpretation of the client’s character who appreciates quality lifestyle and requires spaces to be planned well and crafted thoughtfully for connecting and blending the inhabitants with different character & habits harmoniously together.

Each independent common and private space is designed to be well-connected around the main central courtyard with smooth circulation. Lots of large windows and full height curtain walls promise each and every corner of the house receives ample of natural sunlight at different time of the day and good ventilation always, and thus a good flow of energy that encourages a good healthy living.

While the building is architecturally well-designed with good spatial quality, the interior design emphasizes on a few key design directions as below. The implementation aims to create a tranquil living space and a luxurious urban retreat that would meet the needs and preferences of our client and reflect his personal status and taste.
