Design Concept: Modern Zen

Through the application of a clean, neat and nature-inspired approach, this home was transformed into a oasis of tranquillity that still manages to make a quietly bold statement.

Surrounded by riches of the verdant variety, Empire Residence presents itself as the result of a harmonious union between nature's beauty and a holistic lifestyle. As this was what drew one individual to become a resident of this prestigious development in the first place, it was only expected for them to desire a home that represented this idea to the fullest.

To fulfil this wish, a modern Zen interior design solution that emphasised the allure of the chosen materials and the simple but effective method they are used was crafted. A palette primarily defined by white and light shades of brown was also applied to complement the selected concept and partially executed through the aforementioned materials.

True to Zen principles, significant and key sections of the home's walls are covered with simple light wood grain panels and small furniture pieces made from the same type of wood were placed throughout the premises. Balancing them are modern elements such as the ring pendant lights illuminating the residence's social spaces, pieces of modern artwork and the custom-made television cabinet made out of black marble.
