Interior Design Project Info
September is a contemporary café, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi. The café incorporates raw textured finishes from stuccoed white walls, rustic brick material to sculptural furniture forms.
At the entrance of the café, guests are immersed into a timeless garden, embellished with decaying trees, stepping stones and small gravel. The garden evokes a stillness and meditative quality that invites guests to experience a moment of quiet reflection. Stripe lighting delicately drapes the ceiling, leading guests toward the immense coffee counter made of brick, intentionally designed to resemble a natural stone texture. Overhead, the ceiling seamlessly curves into the wall, similar to the shape of a cave, accented with organically shaped furnishings. Large windows flood the interior with natural light, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere for guests to linger, indulge and engage in conversation in one of the multiple seating areas.
A quaint, tactile interior, September embraces the beauty in the changing of seasons with a sense of artistic serenity.
