Penang Chinese Town Hall has held a major significance to the Chinese community in Penang since the early settlers. We were commissioned by them to refurbish their boardroom.
We imbued out design with reference to the history of the establishment, while at the same time giving it an updated look. Making a seamless connection of material and color scheme from the existing paneling of the board room.
The refurbishment also addresses the need to reevaluate the function of the board in terms of spatial & circulation, additional storage and upgrading of presentation equipment. Rosewood color wall paneling is referenced in the interior joinery detailing.
